Since The Sims 4‘s release in 2014, it’s swiftly become a staple life sim, but there’s still a lot it can learn from the many games that have followed it over the years. With the base game offering players just the basics of fulfilling their life sim dreams, there are minimal ways they can really explore the genre. Through just a character creator, house builder and limited areas to explore, it’s clear that while impactful for its time, The Sims franchise has a lot it can still deliver.
