Several in-game years may go by before a Stardew Valley player finds their first Prismatic Shard, but even then, they may have absolutely no idea what to do with it. Suffice it to say that Prismatic Shards are exceptionally rare, with only one or two guaranteed drops, and a sub-one-percent chance of finding one organically almost anywhere else. The few reliable ways of farming for Prismatic Shards take a while to build up to, requiring late-game unlocks like true perfection.
