Every player character in Baldur’s Gate 3 derives their strengths and weaknesses from six core ability scores. Just like in Dungeons & Dragons, these scores are strength, dexterity, constitution, intelligence, wisdom, and charisma. They determine everything from a character’s hit point total, to their damage with weapons, to how charming they can be in conversation.
