LEGO Lord of the Rings and Shadow of Mordor GOTY are absolutely worth the account setup time. Get amongst it and thank me later.

In retro news, I’m frosting “26” on a cake for Tombi! (a.k.a Tomba!), a PS One platformer classic. As a gromet, I first played this quirky little 2.5D gem via a demo disc stuck to Official PlayStation Magazine Australia (a masthead I would go on to edit 12 years later). I’m happy to report that the unique piggybacking, pig-chucking, and non-linear “event” questing gameplay has aged reasonably well. Check out the recently released Special Edition(s) if you’re super nostalgic.
