Between Diablo 4, its expansion Vessel of Hatred, and the full arrival of Last Epoch, it’s been a good couple of years for the ARPG. Path of Exile 2, originally due for release on Friday November 15, is set to be the next big hit in the genre’s recent resurgence, but developer Grinding Gear now confirms that the early-access launch for PoE 2 has been delayed. Naturally, it can be a little frustrating when a big, highly anticipated game gets pushed back, but the creator of Path of Exile 2 has a very good reason for asking players to wait. The plan is to move all items and in-game purchases from PoE 1 to PoE 2. In order to ensure a smooth transition, Grinding Gear needs another few weeks.
