The First Descendant is full of intimidating bosses, and while most of the best examples are the game’s Colossi, the Volgus commanders the player runs into more often can be daunting in their own right. The Volgus start off strong in the tutorial mission with Lord Karel, who is shown to effortlessly render the Descendants ineffective. A start like that is a tough act to follow, but the game never had a chance with its first major boss, Commander Greg.
