It’s felt like the wait has taken forever, but Marvel Rivals’ season two is finally set to arrive with a big expansion of content for the hero shooter.
Season two will add two new heroes, new maps, and a whole bunch of balancing to existing heroes and their team-ups. And, of course, a whole slate of new, beautiful skins themed around the epic Hellfire Gala for players to wear on the battlefield.
Read on below for all of the upcoming changes to Marvel Rivals when season two drops on April 11.

Here’s what NetEase has revealed thus far about hero changes, additions, and more coming in season two.

Screenshot by Destructoid A new battle pass themed around the Hellfire Gala and its glitz and glam will take center stage, with several formal attire skins teased in the trailer, including Captain America, Wolverine, Cloak & Dagger, Star-Lord, Luna Snow, Black Panther, Black Widow, Bruce Banner, Magik, Psylocke, and more.
It’s currently unclear which costumes will be in the battle pass and which will be store offerings.
Screenshot by Destructoid Popular costumes will get re-colors available to purchase, further advancing the game’s customization options. Costumes will also be giftable to friends via a new feature in the store.
Picks and bans will now begin in Gold III as opposed to Diamond III in the game’s ranked mode, the minimum level to play ranked is now 15, and more, such as skill points earned and lost being more reflective of individual performance.
The Competitive map pool is changing, as Yggsgard – Royal Palace and Tokyo 2099 – Shin-Shabuya have been removed, while Krakoa’s Hellfire Gala map is being added.
Screenshot by Destructoid In season 2.5, which should launch in the middle of May, Ultron will join the game as a new Strategist hero, along with other buffs and balance changes.
