Though many games have tried to capture the essence of Dungeons & Dragons in a video game format, Baldur’s Gate 3 has arguably done it the best. Its noteworthy success is largely due to its fantastic cast of characters and the vast array of paths players can choose to follow. Despite this, every great game has its flaws, and one aspect of BG3’s characterization has gradually become more and more frustrating when it comes to staying immersed in the setting.
