When Genshin Impact initially launched on September 28, 2020, players only had access to Mondstadt and Liyue. Over the course of its history, it added Inazuma, Sumeru, Fontaine, and Natlan, as the borders of Teyvat kept expanding in every direction. Version 5.0 introduced the first zone of Natlan, allowing players to explore the lands belonging to the Children of Echoes, Scions of the Canopy, and People of the Springs.
