This new update follows the massive Version 4.4, which added a whole new area in the northern portion of Liyue, and introduced two new playable characters, as well as the annual Lantern Rite Festival event. With Version 4.4 nearing its end, developer HoYoverse held the special Genshin Impact 4.5 livestream, which announced most of the content planned for arrival in the upcoming patch, which includes a new and much-needed 5-star Geo sub-DPS unit.
