Gamers who boot up Gears 5 are being greeted by a message hyping up the franchise’s next installment, Gears of War: E-Day. It’s been nearly half a decade since Gears 5 was released in 2019. The sequel followed up Gears of War 4, continuing the story of the new trio of characters, Kait Diaz, JD Fenix, and Del Walker, on the search for the origins of the Locust Horde.
