After close to a decade since its launch, Fallout 4 is receiving a free next-gen-only update to fix a major story omission. Due to the release of the Fallout Show, it was announced that Fallout 4 would be receiving an update to help scale up its performance to go along with new cosmetics and weapons. Though an update now seems odd, the massive success of the franchise’s first live-action show made it a smart decision. Every Fallout game has seen significant increases in sales and player base since the show’s release.
