MMO specialist Daybreak Games has acquired Palia studio Singularity 6.
The Los Angeles-based developer, which has significantly downsized this year in the face of financial difficulties, is now a wholly owned subsidiary of Daybreak, which is known for the likes of EverQuest, PlanetSide and H1Z1.
Free-to-play, cozy sim MMO Palia was released for Nintendo Switch in December 2023 and hit Steam in March, six months after an open beta launched on PC. The game features cross-play and cross-progression.
