All confirmed and leaked Magic the Gathering Final Fantasy collab cards

Magic: The Gathering fans (myself included) have been waiting eagerly for the Final Fantasy collab, and a few cards have already leaked on social media.

The eagerly-anticipated collab, announced in 2024, is scheduled to launch in June 2025. While Wizards has stayed pretty secretive about their plans so far, some of the cards belonging to the starter kits have already leaked.

The leaks appeared on the Final Fantasy subreddit, where GdAssTekken12 showed cards from two starter sets. According to the user, Wizards sent the starter kits to Brazil by mistake, and all the cards are set in Portuguese. Based on the leaks, the starter kits appear to have cards inspired by different Final Fantasy games.

While Wizards has revealed a few cards on the official website, this is the first look we’re getting at the starter decks and their effects.

The starter decks are based around Cloud and Sephiroth, who play as commanders. Each deck has 60 cards ranging across different types. While the cards are in Portuguese (making it difficult to know more about them), here are some of the characters we can expect.

  • Rosa (Cloud)
  • Beatrix (Cloud)
  • Moogle (Cloud)
  • Barret Wallace (Cloud)
  • Artemisa (Sephiroth)
  • Seymour (Sephiroth)
  • Xande (Sephiroth)

Not much else is known about the remaining cards or their in-game effects (since all the cards are in Portuguese). The starter kits are currently available on Amazon and priced at $20 each. These kits are perfect for beginners as they won’t have to bother with creating custom decks for competitive play.

Aside from character cards, the sets also feature popular locations from several Final Fantasy titles. The land cards have also been given special designs with esthetics that gel well with the set. The starter decks can also be considered excellent collector items for true fans.

Once we have more information about the cards, they will be added to this article. Wizards is expected to reveal the cards officially closer to the June release date. It will be interesting to find out more about the cards from the Final Fantasy collab, and some of them could have telling effects on shaping up the meta. Based on previous sets, the official information should be available in May when Wizards starts to reveal the cards, their in-game effects, and alternate arts.
