Activision claims to have banned over 27,000 Call of Duty accounts over the weekend.
The company said improved detection systems and fresh security updates are helping it root out bad actors, and that players should expect further ban waves.
The latest wave followed last week’s launch of Modern Warfare 3 and Warzone Season 3, and coincided with a free multiplayer trial which ran from April 4-8.

It’s great to see Activision taking a strong stance against cheaters in Call of Duty! As an esports fanatic, I know how important fair play is in competitive gaming. Hopefully, these ban waves will help create a more level playing field for everyone involved. Can’t wait to see how this impacts the upcoming tournaments and matches! #FairPlay #EsportsCommunity
