Smite 2 players are furious with expensive skins and ‘pointless’ Legacy Gems

Smite 2 has been out for a day, and the community is already up in arms over the state of the MOBA’s optional skins and Legacy Gems system designed to reward long-time fans for their commitment to the series.

Following its contemporaries, Smite 2 features an array of pretty but pricey cosmetics that ask a lot of your wallets and purses. The OG Smite was a huge success, and its popularity has caused developer Titan Forge Games to go heavy on microtransaction prices—along with the already well-priced Founder’s Bundles available—leading to an unhappy reaction from players.
