Stardew Valley is a titan of the video game industry but creator Eric “ConcernedApe” Barone wants to see it cross over with another juggernaut to create an experience that some may find jarring. Crossovers have risen in prominence in recent years as publishers and developers chase the popularity of intellectual properties to generate long-term interest. Even games that don’t need the help of guest characters like Call of Duty are getting in on crossovers, hosting several franchises like The Boys, Attack on Titan, and Tomb Raider.
