Materials in AKSA will always need to be harvested through tools, but higher-tier items cannot be collected until you upgrade various pieces of equipment. Those looking to get better resources to upgrade their tribe have to improve their tools sooner rather than later. Doing this will also unlock a variety of other item recipes that will be useful as you discover blueprints for bigger projects.
