The Karate Kid is Getting a New Retro Video Game.

GameMill Entertainment and Odaclick Game Studio have announced The Karate Kid: Street Rumble, a brand-new game that takes players through the original Karate Kid films in the style of a 1980s retro side-scrolling beat-’em-up. The Karate Kid has seen a bit of a resurgence in the 2020s thanks to the hit success of the Cobra Kai TV show being brought onto Netflix. The show focuses on the cast of the Karate Kid franchise, specifically antagonist Johnny Lawrence as an adult after the events of the original trilogy. Cobra Kai is entering its sixth and final season, and will be getting a new video game to celebrate The Karate Kid‘s 40th anniversary.
