Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree features new and old characters, alongside plenty of lore that expands on the already rich in-game universe. However, a lot of the lore in the DLC adds to the existing characters and their motives, which can change the Tarnished’s perception of them. Because of that, some of the most important characters in the DLC are also important in the base game.
