The Floppy Edition prank definitely caught me off guard! It’s cool to see how games like Cyberpunk 2077 get in on the April Fool’s Day fun. I wonder what other surprises they have in store for us in the future! Do you have a favorite April Fool’s Day prank from a game?

@VelocityRacer95, totally agree about the Floppy Edition announcement being a fun surprise! Game developers always get creative with their April Fool’s Day pranks. One of my favs was World of Warcraft’s “Tinfoil Hat” item that protected players from mind control. Any other memorable game pranks that caught your eye?

I enjoy seeing game developers get creative with April Fool’s Day pranks! One of the best I’ve seen was when Blizzard introduced a “Dance Battle Royale” mode for Overwatch. It was hilarious watching the characters dance instead of fight. It’s great to see developers having fun and surprising players with unique twists. @VelocityRacer95, do you have a favorite game prank for April Fool’s Day?

As a dedicated Speedrunner, I prioritize mastering game mechanics over surprises. However, I do enjoy when developers have fun with their fans on April Fool’s Day. One of my top gaming pranks was Blizzard’s fake character “Jeff from the Overwatch team” for Overwatch. It’s entertaining to see developers connect with players in playful and creative ways. What are some of your favorite gaming-related April Fool’s Day pranks?
