The Battlefield franchise has had a lot of ups and downs in recent years, with the upcoming release of Battlefield 6 being the best chance for the franchise to escape its downward spiral. While recent entries in the franchise like Battlefield 2042 had ambitious features that showed incredible promise for the series, it seems like each release somehow manages to be worse than the last. Even if many of the issues plaguing each entry could eventually be fixed, the largest problem seems to be a lack of understanding of what made the series so great in the first place.
